One of the most notable updates that Google Photos implemented was the redesign of its application last summer, and now the time has come to add a new feature called “Me Meme”, which allows us to create memes from our selfie photos.
Me Meme is available for both Android and iOSand uses generative artificial intelligence to transform us into a meme.
The interesting thing about this new feature in Google Photos is the templates which should be used to personalize these humorous images of ourselves.
Google Photos offers various default layouts that allow you to create a meme in seconds, or also give the option of uploading a “funny photo of your own” as a reference.
The fun aspect is essential so that the creation of the meme with this function is successful and fulfills the purpose of being a truly entertaining meme.
In fact, it is recommended to use a “highlight selfie or a photo in which our face is clearly seen.”
This implies that it is necessary for our face to be well lit and be the central element of the photo for better results.
The best of all is that Google Photos allows you to edit the photo before pressing the button to generate the meme with “Me Meme”.
Once the meme is generated, the Google application offers the options of save it to the library, regenerate it or share it.
You can also send comments on the generated meme and compare the original photo with the meme to decide if we discard it to create another one or if we share it on our social networks or in a WhatsApp or Telegram conversation.
For now, this experimental functionality is limited to the United States. According to 9to5Googleis not yet available on any of its devices and Google has not provided additional details about how it works.
The only announcement made It has been through the support page, where it is explained how it works, although no screenshots of the memes generated with this function have been shown.
Apparently this could be done with the Gemini app, but on Google Photos it’s more of a targeted experience. However, the use of the “Me Meme” brand clearly seeks to become a viral phenomenon.
Something similar happened with Nano Banana, which arose from an engineer’s idea in the middle of the night when he named a new AI model for image editing, becoming one of Google’s most successful ideas in recent times.
